The Opportunity
PBA’s Major Infrastructure Project Group has an opportunity for an energetic and enthusiastic person to join our team at Senior Infrastructure Planner or Principal Infrastructure Planner level. This role can be based in our Reading, Bristol or London offices. 
 
We are currently undertaking major projects across a range of infrastructure sectors, including transport (highways and rail), and energy. We also have a very successful planning team working on residential, leisure, education, health, commercial and mixed-use developments. We are looking for strong, qualified planning individuals with some understanding and experience of the DCO/ TWAO process.
 
The role offers the opportunity to work on a range of major projects across the UK in a truly multi-disciplinary environment using your knowledge base with the support of experts across the practice.
 
You will work closely with a range of clients, including major infrastructure players, contractors and public sector organisations, as well as blue-chip companies, developers and investors.
About You

We are looking for:

• Track record in the private and/ or public sector

• Good knowledge and proven experience of the planning system and development management procedures is essential

• Some understanding and experience of infrastructure and TWAO/ DCO projects would be a distinct advantage

• Some understanding of Parliamentary bill process

• Capable of working on your own initiative and as part of a team

• Experience of project management and preparation of proposals

• Able to engage with clients and confident in liaising with all levels of management both internally and externally

• A strong academic background required, holding accredited undergraduate and/or postgraduate planning qualifications

• Excellent written and oral communication skills

• Excellent drafting and report writing skills and proficiency in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel
