The Opportunity

Daunted by the cost of higher education? Or struggling to find a course or path that offers the prospect of a satisfying career?  We are looking for well-qualified school leavers who are keen to pursue a professional career in Civil Engineering to join our practice in locations across the UK. 

This is an ideal opportunity if you are looking for on-the-job training rather than continuing full-time education.  You will need to demonstrate your enthusiasm for engineering and willingness to apply yourself in a work place environment.

Working initially as an Apprentice Engineer, you will be exposed to various aspects of civil engineering and have opportunities for professional technical training.  You will develop skills in AutoCAD and other civil engineering software and have the opportunity to undertake day-release education to obtain engineering academic qualifications through to graduation.

We offer a number of discipline-specific Apprenticeship roles in Civil Infrastructure, Buildings/ Structures, Transport Planning/ Modelling and Bridge Engineering.

Key responsibilities / Duties will include:

  • Use of CAD
  • Use of other design programs
  • Highway design support
  • Drainage design support
  • Utility Coordination & Management
  • Assistance with technical approval submissions
About You

Capabilities and Qualifications:

The successful candidate will be a positive, enthusiastic and proactive team player. In addition the candidate must:

  • Be computer literate in MS Office suite including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
  • Have a minimum of
  • Have the ability to work well in a team and to work on their own initiative
  • Have a keen interest in Civil Infrastructure
  • 5 x GSCE’s including a minimum of an upper C in Maths and English and/or
  • Minimum DMM in BTEC Extended Diploma in Engineering
