The Opportunity

Daunted by the cost of higher education? Or struggling to find a course or path that offers the prospect of a satisfying career?  We are looking for well-qualified school leavers who are keen to pursue a professional career in Structural Engineering to join our practice in Oxford.

This is an ideal opportunity if you are looking for on-the-job training rather than continuing full-time education.  You will need to demonstrate your enthusiasm for engineering and willingness to apply yourself in a work place environment.

As an Apprentice Technician, you will be exposed to various aspects of civil engineering with a primary focus on structures. You will be producing 3D models and 2D drawings using design software such as AutoCAD and Revit while also assisting with Building Information Modelling (BIM) across a diverse range of projects. Throughout your apprenticeship you will have the opportunity to undertake day-release education to obtain academic engineering qualifications.

About You

Capabilities and Qualifications:

The successful candidate will be a positive, enthusiastic and proactive team player. In addition, the candidate must have:

  • The ability to work well in a team and to work on their own initiative
  • A keen interest in structural design and Civil Infrastructure in general.
  • 5 x GSCE’s including a minimum of a C in Maths and English.
