The Opportunity

PBA, now part of Stantec, is looking for a creative individual with strong communication skills and technical aptitude to take on our new Apprentice Business Administrator role supporting our Buildings team in Reading. You’ll be working as part of a team of international experts all dedicated to designing with communities in mind.

Our extensive portfolio covers a wide range of high-profile buildings, including commercial offices and retail, universities, schools, residential, industrial and mixed urban and regeneration schemes.

In this role you will be liaising with some of our most senior stakeholders to assist them with formatting material for project bid presentations using software such as Adobe InDesign, preparing technical reports as well as supporting the team with a variety of ad-hoc administrative duties.

At PBA we are passionate about modern apprenticeships and providing alternative career paths for those who are more practical minded and as such, this opportunity is suitable for both school leavers as well as more experienced individuals who are returning to work or perhaps looking for a career change.

About You
  • Must have GCSE Grade C or above in Maths and English
  • Other GCSEs ­in Business Studies, iMedia, ICT, Media Studies, Business and Communication Systems are desirable.
  • Experience using Adobe InDesign or similar publishing software desirable but not essential.
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to quickly learn new software and systems
