The Opportunity
Stantec are currently on the lookout for a Desktop Support Analyst to join us in Bristol. This is a great opportunity for you to work as our main desktop support provider for the South-West region. You will help support a busy engineering consultancy who are involved in a wide variety of land development and infrastructure projects. You will also become part of a wider IT team that are spread across the UK and support the needs of our business nationally.

As our Desktop Support Analyst, you will be involved in a wide variety of tasks to serve the needs of the business. On a daily basis, you will analyse and resolve end-user hardware, software and connectivity issues both desk-side and remotely supporting employees in other offices across the practice. Your task will be to contribute to the resolution of operational problems by working collaboratively with your peers. To be successful in this role, your problem solving and customer facing skills will be important as you work with a wide variety of internal clients.

About You:

We are looking for an ambitious IT professional that is interested to develop and grow their career, you will need the following to succeed:-

  • Experience in a Microsoft Windows environment including Windows server 2016/2019, Windows 7/10, MS Office Suite, Active Directory, Office 365.

  • Current knowledge of PC hardware and the ability to set up, configure, and rebuild workstations.

  • Excellent customer relationship, communications and interpersonal skills.

  • Basic knowledge of network technologies, TCP/IP and LAN/WAN topology
